My daughter’s father in law was visiting from Australia. We live in Michigan in the states. One day, he went with my son in law, his wife, and my daughter to a meeting for people interested in keeping bees. There he encountered a man who was wearing a yellow polo shirt (as he was), had the same glasses, hair, build, age. And exact same face and mannerisms. It was so uncanny that at one point his own wife asked the other man a question thinking it was him. They met, laughed about it, and after that meeting never saw each other again. I wrote a blog about it as it was such a stunning event.

Wow, Beth, fascinating! What an unusual, odd thing – I’m so glad you shared. There are all kinds of peculiar stories about doppelgangers – yours is quite an original, however!

When you have multiple personalities you don’t need a doppelganger.

When my parents were dating, they were friends with my Dad’s cousin and his wife. One evening there was a tragic car accident and my Dad’s cousin Cindy was killed. She was only 23. Not long after Cindy’s funeral, my Mom was at the subway and she saw a woman who she swears looked exactly like Cindy. It still haunts her to this day. She didn’t speak to the woman and she disappeared in the crowd before my Mom could get closer.
Then years later, I was at a bar and commented to my date, “That guy over there looks like my cousin Sean!” The next day we got a phone call that my cousin Sean had died! He was living in Boston and I live in California, so the man at the bar was definitely not him. Too weird!

And they’re all true! I think I pay more attention to these kinds of things than a lot of people though. These stories and experiences stick in my head forever.
