I once went on a midnight tour, with my Aussie son in law. it was the original prison in west australia, and had paintings done by the prisoners, many had been aboriginal, along with the original immigrant British criminals who were told by their jailers that they would be freed upon building this prison. they lied and spent the rest of their sentences/days here. there were so many ghosts in this place it felt heavy.
